---I have rewritten the "description" for this photo image of the face in the cloud, a face in a Katrina rainband. I thus post again.
Today is january 9th, 2006, over four months since this photo was taken, now maybe I can comment with a bit of "time distance" upon it.
Hurricane Katrina was still about 100 miles out in the Gulf, about 120 miles from new Orleans. The time was about 3 Pm in the afternoon, on the 28th, a day before Katrina came ashore.
I had just walked out of my senior residence, having seen the currant radar map for the Gulf region, on their big screen television. I live in Tallahassee, Florida, usa, about 400 miles east of New Orleans. As I watched this radar depiction, I was very very impressed about how the outer rainbands extended very very far towards the east, and in fact the outermost rainband was positioned just to the southeast of Tallahassee. This spiral rainband system was over 500 miles wide!
I grabed my camera and rain out of the building, to watch this powerfull squall line come across the city, a small hurricane in and of itself! [see my tagged "Katrina" photos to see some of this rainband!]
I stood facing East, the rainband still had some clouds to the east. I suddenly noticed a very very quick forming cloud formation, it seemed just just boil out of the clouds in seconds so I quickly snapped a photo of this cloud.
It was only later that I saw that this whole cloud consisted of a head and of a Face!! This face is facing directly New Olreans! It is looking at new Orleans!
Faces in the clouds....
[there is a flickrgroup devoted to this type of phenomena.....
the Face of Katrina.
What do you make of this?!
What do *I* make of this face?!
---In some Flickr forum, I suggested that this face could even be of an "real"
Appearence, a Real Apparition, like of the Mother Mary appearences, say, of a god or of God Himself, and that He could be looking at New orleans either in Judgement or in Sympathy for the peoples who would have to live with the damage, or both. I then found out how severely a person could be Flammed, in a forum, as a result! Any mention of the "supernatural" is a Great Great Affront to most Intelligent people these days! photographers tend to be very inteligent and "practical", thus no "supernatural" is permitted, in their photos or in their lives!
I find it also interesting that
people of a more "primitive" culture, and times, would agree utterly that this face is an Appearence of a God, a god in their parthenon of Gods, usually the One that is in charge of storms.
whether be Zeus, Thor, Shiva, the ancient people would instantly know what the appearence of a face of their god, in a storm, would mean!
But the face is still "there"! I have not retouched or "photoshpped" this image in any way, you see what I saw, here. I have posted this image into several "spiritual" forums, and one lady even wrote back that she sees also additional images in these clouds directly under the face-cloud, images of angels and of even Jesus!!
maybe even katrina was "Caused", created and guided, to hit new orleans, and this "face" symbolizes the counscious, self-aware Entity, that is in charge of this storm.
[yet *another* bitter pill, not digestible, for the Intelligent modern person, to swallow!]
[I wonder what other "natural" disasters are likewise Caused, and driven?! The Bible has much much to say about the angels and archangels who are in charge of the Elements of nature: weather and the geology of the earth, for instance.]
Tis hard enough for the average person to accept "political conspiricies" for causing the major events, like of the 9/11 or of the Oklahoma bombing, but even the Intelligent "leftist" conspiricy people cannot handle the concept of a "Spiritual Conspiricy"
directing earthly events!!
[the Book of Revelation is not popular in certain circles of people, these days!]
So is this image of a random formation, looking like a face?
Is this image showing the face of a god, or of anArchangel, or of God, Himself, directing Katrina towards its target?!
*You* makes this Call, sports fans, you choose what this face means, to you. I will, here, just "offically" offer this photo in my photo album, as is. I will not "trumpet" any suggestion that this cloud *is* a face of God, I will leave this Interpetation to you, if you feel this is so.
[if you use it on your site, please let me know, i would like to see the site.
---and futher comments that I added at the bottom of the photopage...
So what have I seen and thought, in meditation, over this?
Here I was, taking a photo of an eastern Katrina rainband, and when I
looked later at the photo, ooooh Boy!!
When I took this photo, I felt a powerful feeling, about that tower of cloud, as if there really *was* a focus of effort, of an aware being, to create
Now, I note that the face is facing new Orleans, and facing that city even as the storm was 120 miles out to sea!
this "Zeus", was looking at the Coastline.
I tried to imagine what it would say to me, if I asked it to talk, be aware that this writing of what he might say is only my own imaginations!
---behold mankind, have ye Forgotten? Forgotten the Gods?! Once you all were aware that we controlled all of the weather, the volcanoes, the other Forces
that move the earth.
Yea, you have forgotten, in your intellectual arrogance, that there are Beings that are greater than you?! Beings that rule the elements, all of the four elements. Your professors of mind deny that we exist, and they worship Science instead.
Woe oh woe, oh mankind who thinks that his all-encompassing knowledge is all, whereas this knowledge is but only a handful of sand: the Sahara sand dunes stand before him, unseen, of realities that he does not comprehend.
Even the Gods have a Boss that they report to, I feel! When the Boss feels that It Is Time, the Orders go out!
---that all storms and disaster-causing
events are Caused, directed by Beings with an awareness, a consciousness.
Once, we Prayed to them, for help, for preventions, to bring rain, to melt snow, to stop an oncoming storm.
Alas, we have forgotten, all except a few of us; that the World now calls "superstitious spiritist religion" [voodoo or santaria] or "charismatic Christian"!
The Gods even "wear watches" and they know what time it is, the Time of the Mayan/aztec/toltec end-of-age.
[another "superstitious" something
from long long ago, no one currantly keeps track of the great pyramid timeclock either, and now this clock is about to strike the midnight moment!
the Gods now all turn to their tasks, the gyres and wheels of the clock ring the Hour!
MEME, MEME, TEKEL, UPHARSIN
--we might indeed be found wanting.
maybe now the Signal has been given, maybe others too have seen the Face, or the Body, or heard the Name, of a God, getting ready to now act.
maybe for me, at least, I have received the signal, that the Gods are now acting, if so, the avalanche has begun, of the great upheavals; soon, very very soon, we all could be living in refugee tents, all that are still alive, that is....p>
SANGOMA : My Odyssey Into the Spirit World of Africa
...a reviewer of this book, wrote, on
James Hall's odyssey into the spirit world of Africa makes nearly the entire output of today's spiritualists and self-help gurus- and much of the non-fiction of the past several decades- obsolete and insignificant. His biographical portrayal not only honors the spiritual and spiritualist's history as it is and was in African culture, a giant antithetical perspective to the Newtonian/Keynesian world of the West with our comfort in the worship of material objects and the acquisition of wealth from that perspective. It honors the spiritual world in total, and in so doing redeems the human spirit via the transformational path of action, self-awareness, enlightenment and active service to something greater than one self that could not by definition fit into comfortably established forms of sensibility and recognition. Sangoma can easily be compared to Herman Heese's Siddartha and the like, and should be on the booklists of every college course in literature as well as anthropolgy, religion and Africana studies. The only drawback, however accurate, was his depiction of many African natives as deceitful, in the context of his presence and study of the rituals of the Sangoma healer, without a further mentioning of the hostilities they suffered at the hands of the Western world before his arrival. An altogether wonderful and inspiring book that leaves you feeling like something beautiful in you has been powerfully affirmed.
[I once, years ago, read this book, I found his experiences very overwheming in that he experienced realities that most westerners have never ever seen!
Truly our western minds have before them a cup of Sand of knowledge, the whole of the sands of the Shahara desert lie unseen, and more importantly, unaknowledged as being "real", before them!
